How to do it

  1. 1

    Add your file

Add a saved .html file — an exported page, a newsletter, documentation or a report generated by another program.

  2. 2

Set it up the way you want

Choose the paper size. Headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, bold and italic are laid out as selectable text on those pages.

  3. 3

    Download the result

Download the PDF. CSS styling and images are not carried over, and the tool tells you whenever something was left out.

Questions about HTML to PDF

Is this the same as printing a web page to PDF?
No. It reads the structure of an HTML file and typesets the text cleanly, which gives a readable document rather than a copy of the screen. Colours, spacing and layout from CSS are not applied.
Can I convert a web page by its address?
Not with this tool — it converts HTML files you already have. Save the page as HTML from the browser's File menu first, then add that file here.
Will the text be searchable?
Yes. Everything comes through as real text, so the PDF can be searched, copied, indexed and read by screen readers, unlike a screenshot saved as a PDF.
