Questions about PDF to PowerPoint
- Can I edit the text afterwards?
- No, and this is the honest cost. The page arrives as the slide’s image, so the words are part of the picture. Making them editable would mean rebuilding the layout by guesswork, and the result is the thing everyone has seen: overlapping boxes and fonts that shifted.
- Why are the slides not 16:9?
- Because the slide is sized to your page instead. Forcing an A4 page into a 16:9 frame either adds bars down both sides or crops the content, and neither is what someone wants from a page they laid out on purpose.
- Then what is this good for?
- Presenting and annotating. You get a deck you can run, draw on during a talk, add speaker notes to, and mix with your own slides. If you need the actual editable content back, PDF to Word gets far closer than any PDF-to-slides conversion can.
