What is different here
Your document never reaches us. It is read, changed and saved without ever being transmitted, so nothing is stored and nothing has to be deleted afterwards.
You can verify that in a minute — the checklist below tells you how, and it applies to us as much as to anyone else.
There is no queue and no larger-file tier; the daily allowance is three runs without an account and twelve signed in. There is also no account: nothing to create, nothing to remember, nothing to cancel.
Where a hosted service is still the right choice
Shared cloud folders, team workspaces that hold documents, and a file history synced across devices all need a server holding your files. We do not have that and cannot fake it. You can open a file from Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive, but nothing is saved back to the drive.
Very large batch jobs are also a fair point. A hundred files run without ever reaching us use your own processor, and on an old laptop that is slower than a data centre. It still works — we measured a 635 MB document going through — but it uses your battery, not ours.

Nothing is watermarked, nothing is queued, and the output is yours with no conditions attached.
How to check any of this yourself
Do not take our word for it, and do not take theirs. These four checks take a minute each and work on any online PDF tool, including this one.
- Open the network tab in developer tools, then run the tool. If your file is being uploaded, you will see it leave. Here, for tools that run in your browser, you will see the page load its own code and nothing carrying your file.
- Turn off your network and run the tool again. If it still works, the processing was never happening on a server.
- Read the privacy page and look for how long files are kept. A service that stores your file will say so, usually with a number of hours.
- Try a file larger than the free limit. Where a limit exists, it usually exists because every file costs the service money.
