Questions about Spell check PDF
- Does it change my text?
- No. It only adds comments on top of the page, the same kind a reviewer adds. The words, layout and fonts stay exactly as they were, so you decide what to change.
- Why is a correct word marked?
- The dictionary does not know every name, brand or technical term. Those can be marked even when they are right. Turn off checking capitalized words to skip most names, or simply ignore the comment.
- Why does it find nothing in my scanned PDF?
- A scanned page is a picture of the text, so there are no words to check yet. Run OCR first to add a text layer, then check the result.
- Which spellings does it use?
- American English accepts color and organize; British English accepts colour and organise. Pick the one your readers expect.
