Questions about Repair PDF
- What kind of damage can this actually fix?
- Structural damage — a broken cross-reference table, a truncated ending, an object index that no longer matches the file. That covers most files damaged by an interrupted download, a crash during save or a bad transfer.
- What can it not fix?
- Missing content. If the file was cut off halfway through a download, the second half of the document was never there and no repair can invent it. You will get back whatever survived, which is often more than nothing but not everything.
- Is it worth trying before giving up?
