Choose whether to cut vertically or horizontally, and which half comes first. Reading direction matters: a right-to-left document needs the right half first.

Questions about Split PDF in half
- Why would a PDF have two pages on one sheet?
- Almost always a scanned book. A flatbed captures the open spread as one image, so a 300-page book arrives as 150 wide pages. Split in half turns it back into a document you can read on a phone.
- The halves came out in the wrong order.
- Then the reading direction is reversed for your document. Arabic and other right-to-left texts need the right half first; run it again with the order flipped and the pages fall into place.
- The cut is slightly off centre.
- The split is at the exact middle of the sheet. If the original scan was not centred, the cut inherits that. Crop the pages first to even up the margins, then split.
