Who fills it in

Aliens in the United States use Form AR-11 to report a change of address to USCIS, including people with an immigration benefit request already filed.

Where it goes

USCIS strongly encourages reporting the move through a USCIS online account. A paper Form AR-11 sent by mail also meets the legal requirement, but it does not update your address in USCIS systems automatically.

When

Report the new address within 10 days of moving.

Watch out for

  • VAWA self-petitioners and people with T or U nonimmigrant requests follow a separate change-of-address procedure on the USCIS site.
  • Use the 11/02/22 edition; USCIS also accepts the 08/31/21 edition.
