What happens to your files
Most PDF websites upload your document to their servers, process it there and keep it for a while. DocuGrip does the work on the page you have open instead, so the document never reaches us.

How processing works
When you add a file to a tool, the page reads it, makes the change and hands you the result to save. There is no upload step and no copy on our side, which means there is nothing for us to store, look inside, hand over or lose in a breach.
Check it yourself
You do not have to take this on trust.
- Open any tool page and let it load.
- Disconnect from the network, for example by turning on airplane mode.
- Add a file and run the tool. It still works, because nothing needed to be sent.
The exceptions, stated plainly
A few features cannot work without sending something, and they say so where they appear.
- Opening a file from Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive fetches that file from the provider directly to the page; it is not routed through our servers.
- Web page to PDF sends only the web address, so the page can be fetched and turned into a PDF.
- AI tools, when available, send the text extracted from a document to a model provider; the file itself does not move.
What we do store
An account holds what it needs to work: your email address, your plan and payment records, and how much of your daily allowance you have used. The privacy policy lists every item and how long it is kept.
