Influencer agreement template

An influencer agreement turns a direct message into a clear brief: what the creator will post and where, when, whether the brand approves it first, what it pays, how long the brand may reuse the content, and how the post is disclosed as an ad.

This template is a general starting point, not legal advice. Laws differ between countries and states, so have it checked before signing anything important.

Disclosure is not optional

In the US, the FTC’s Endorsement Guides require a clear disclosure when a creator is paid or given free products for a post. Both the brand and the creator can be responsible if it is missing.

  • Put the disclosure where people will see it without clicking “more”.
  • Use the platform’s paid-partnership label as well as, not instead of, a clear disclosure.
  • Agree usage rights and paid-ad use separately — they are often priced separately.

Frequently asked questions

In this template the creator does, and the brand gets a limited right to reuse it. If the brand needs to own it outright, say so and adjust the fee.

Yes. Put the product as the payment. A gifted product still counts as a connection that has to be disclosed.
