- Which image formats can I use?
- JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF and HEIC, so iPhone photos work as they are. PNG is the one you want for a logo or a signature because it keeps transparency, so the background of the picture does not cover the page; a JPEG signature arrives as a white box with writing in it. Very large photos are scaled to 2400 pixels so the PDF stays light and still prints sharp.
- Is this how I sign a document?
- It is one way, and it is what most people mean by signing. It places a picture of your signature; it does not create a cryptographic signature that proves who signed and that nothing changed afterwards. If someone asked for a digital signature, use Sign PDF instead.
- Can I put the same image on every page?
- Yes. Place it once, pick it in the list and choose “Put on every page”: it lands in the same spot on every page, and the image is stored in the file only once, so the PDF barely grows. Add stamp is the other route when you want a ready-made mark across a page range.
