How to do it

Add your file
Add the PDF with margins you want gone. Thumbnails show the current page edges, which is how you spot the real problem — a scan is usually crooked and over-wide, not just wide.

Set it up the way you want
Set how much to trim from each edge separately: top, right, bottom and left. Separate edges matter because scans are rarely symmetric, and a book scan usually needs a big bite off one side and almost nothing off the other.

Download the result
Cropping changes the visible page box, it does not delete anything. The content outside the new edges is still in the file, just not displayed — so a crop that went too far can be undone by cropping back the other way.
Questions about Crop PDF
- Is the cropped-away content really gone?
- No, and you should know that. Cropping sets a smaller visible box; the original content stays in the file and can be recovered by anyone who changes the box back. If you need something genuinely removed, use Redact PDF, which is built to destroy content rather than hide it.
- Can I crop only some pages?
- Yes. Give a range and only those pages are trimmed. This is the normal case for a scanned book, where left-hand and right-hand pages need different amounts taken off opposite edges.
- What if I crop too much?
- The tool refuses a crop that would leave nothing, and tells you rather than producing an empty page. If the result is merely tighter than you wanted, run the tool again on the output with negative-feeling numbers — the content is still there to bring back.
