Large files and long documents
DocuGrip has no file size cap on any plan. Because files are processed on the page rather than uploaded, the practical limit is the memory of the computer or phone you are using.

What makes a job slow
Page count and images matter more than the file size shown in a folder. A few hundred text pages are quick; a few hundred high-resolution scanned pages take longer, and converting or OCR-ing them takes longer still. Progress is shown while long jobs run, and many tools let you cancel a job part way.
If a job is too slow or runs out of memory
Try these in order.
- Close other heavy tabs and apps to free memory.
- Use a laptop or desktop instead of a phone for very large scans.
- Split the document into parts, run the tool on each, and merge the results.
- Compress scanned PDFs first; smaller images make every later step faster.
On phones and tablets
Everything works on a phone, but memory is tighter than on a laptop. If a very large file fails there, the tool says so rather than failing silently; the same file will usually work on a computer.
