Compress a PDF for EOIR ECAS
ECAS accepts documents up to 25 MB each, in PDF or JPG. The target is set to 24 MB. A filing that still will not fit has to be split, and the split tool can do that by size.

Before you upload to EOIR ECAS
- Compress first, split second: a compressed exhibit often fits in one file and keeps its pages together.
- If you must split, split by size so every part stays under 25 MB, and label the parts in order.
- Keep an uncompressed copy of every exhibit for the court record and for your client file.

Compression shrinks images. A long file that is mostly text can stay above the limit; these get it through.
