Compress a PDF for Gmail
Gmail turns anything over 25 MB into a Drive link, which some recipients cannot open. The target is set to 24 MB so the file goes as a normal attachment.

Before you upload to Gmail
- The limit counts the whole message, so two attachments share the 25 MB.
- For a smaller, faster email, set the target lower: 5 or 10 MB is plenty for most documents.
- Sending to a company address? Many mail servers accept less than Gmail does, so 10 MB is a safer choice.

Compression shrinks images. A long file that is mostly text can stay above the limit; these get it through.
